Sujet : Is globalisation in retreat? Proposer un plan en trois parties (une phrase par partie) et rédiger en anglais une introduction d'environ 100 mots.

Corrigé

Plan. I. The signs of retreat are real: tariffs, export controls, the reshoring of strategic industries, the weaponisation of supply chains. II. But globalisation is changing shape rather than disappearing: trade in services and data keeps growing, and supply chains are being redirected towards allies rather than brought home. III. What is in retreat is a certain idea of globalisation: the belief that economic integration would by itself bring political convergence.

Introduction (environ 100 mots) : For three decades, globalisation was presented as an irreversible force: goods, capital and ideas would flow ever more freely, and nations would converge. That confidence has been shaken by a pandemic that exposed fragile supply chains, by the return of tariffs, and by rivalries that turn trade into a weapon. Yet talk of ``deglobalisation'' may be premature. The question is not only whether the world trades less, but whether it trades differently, and with whom. This essay will argue that globalisation is being reshaped rather than reversed, and that what has truly retreated is the political faith once placed in it.

Ce qui fait la note : une amorce qui pose le contexte, la problématisation (the question is not only whether… but whether…), l'annonce de la thèse. Aucun chiffre n'est avancé sans source : dans l'introduction, l'idée suffit.
