(a) Despite the Affordable Care Act, 27.1 million Americans, 8.0 per cent of the population, had no health insurance at any point in 2024 (Census Bureau). La concession (despite) et un chiffre sourcé remplacent l'adjectif vague.
(b) Governing largely by executive order, the President soon ran into the limits set by the courts: in 2026 the Supreme Court struck down his IEEPA tariffs and upheld birthright citizenship. Participiale initiale, collocation to run into the limits, deux exemples précis.
