Rapportez ce dialogue au discours indirect. Le verbe introducteur est au prétérit ; ajustez aussi les repères de temps et de lieu.

- "Don't touch anything." (The guide asked us…)

- She asked me if (whether) I was coming to the meeting.
- He wanted to know what time the train had left the day before.
- She told him to wait for her there.
- The guide asked us not to touch anything.
Trois automatismes. La question fermée passe par if ou whether ; la question rapportée reprend l'ordre sujet-verbe et perd do / did ; l'impératif devient tell / ask + objet + to + base. Les déictiques suivent : here devient there, yesterday devient the day before.
