Modèle : The screenshot shows a feed containing three posts, displayed one below the other. The first carries the word `Sponsored'' in light grey, printed under the account name and noticeably smaller than the name itself. The second is labelled Trending''. The third shows neither a date nor an author, only the line `Shared by 4 friends''. At first sight, the three posts look alike: same width, same typeface, same buttons. On closer inspection, they belong to three entirely different categories — paid content, ranked content, and content selected by one's own network. Formally, the interface does mark the difference, but it marks it in the smallest and palest element on the screen. Arguably, this is the point worth examining: disclosure that is technically present can still be functionally invisible. The third post raises a further issue, since it offers a social guarantee — four friends — in place of the information a reader would need, namely a date and an author. It would be worth asking, before any conclusion, whether this layout was the default at the time and for which version of the application.
