Ces quatre ouvertures d'exposé sont plates. Récrivez chacune en une accroche efficace, en employant à chaque fois un procédé différent : chiffre frappant, question rhétorique, anecdote, citation.
- I am going to speak about food waste.
- My topic today is the history of the National Health Service.
- I will talk about artificial intelligence in schools.
- This presentation is about the right to vote.
Corrigé
- Chiffre : One third of all the food produced on this planet is never eaten. Let me say that again: one third.
- Anecdote : On the fifth of July 1948, a thirteen-year-old girl called Sylvia Diggory became the first patient of the National Health Service. She had not paid a penny — and neither had her parents.
- Question rhétorique : How would you feel if the essay you spent a week writing were marked, in four seconds, by a machine?
- Citation : « The ballot is stronger than the bullet », said Abraham Lincoln. Tonight I want to ask whether that is still true.
La règle commune aux quatre. Aucune ne commence par annoncer le sujet : elles entrent dedans. En anglais, I am going to speak about… est considéré comme une phrase perdue — l'auditoire découvre le sujet par l'accroche elle-même, et l'annonce du plan vient juste après.
