- Thèse : Homework should be reduced. Contre-argument : Homework teaches autonomy.
- Thèse : Public transport should be free. Contre-argument : It would cost a great deal.
- Thèse : Social media should be regulated. Contre-argument : Regulation threatens free speech.
Corrigé
- Admittedly, homework does teach pupils to work on their own. Yet autonomy is learnt through well-designed tasks, not through volume: an hour of meaningful work teaches more than three hours of exercises copied at breakfast.
- It is true that free public transport would be expensive. However, the cost must be set against what congestion already costs — in lost hours, in health, and in road maintenance paid for by everyone, including those who do not drive.
- Granted, regulation may be misused to silence dissent. Nevertheless, the absence of rules does not produce free speech either: it hands the decision to the platforms, which already remove content daily, without appeal and without transparency.
La structure à retenir. Une concession dépassée tient en trois temps : reconnaître (admittedly, it is true that, granted), retourner (yet, however, nevertheless), apporter la raison neuve. Un paragraphe qui s'arrête au premier temps a changé de camp ; un paragraphe qui saute le premier temps n'a pas argumenté, il a répété.
