La règle : lorsqu'un adverbe négatif ou restrictif (never, rarely, seldom, not only, only + circonstant, little) est placé en tête de phrase, l'anglais applique l'inversion interrogative : auxiliaire avant le sujet, et do / does / did s'il n'y a pas d'auxiliaire.
Le piège : l'inversion porte sur la proposition principale. Dans Only after 1968 was the play licensed, on n'inverse pas dans le groupe circonstanciel, mais dans ce qui suit.
