Rapportez ce court passage au discours indirect

Tom told Anna (that) he had seen her brother there the day before. He said (that) he was looking for a job and that he could help him, because his company was hiring then. He asked her to phone him the following evening.

Les six déplacements, un par un.

• saw $\to$ had seen : prétérit $\to$ past perfect.
• here $\to$ there, yesterday $\to$ the day before, right now $\to$ then, tomorrow evening $\to$ the following evening : les repères suivent celui qui rapporte, non celui qui parlait.
• your brother $\to$ her brother : Tom s'adressait à Anna, le rapporteur parle d'elle.
• is looking $\to$ was looking, is hiring $\to$ was hiring : présent $\to$ prétérit.
• can $\to$ could.
• Phone me : c'est un ordre, donc asked her to phone him — jamais asked her that she phones.

Et le verbe introducteur : Tom told Anna (avec destinataire) contre he said (sans). Les deux verbes ne se remplacent pas l'un l'autre.
